Seeds of your Future - Part IV

There's power in the name of Yahshua, you know that?

To be more precise, it's not so much the name itself, the sound of the name, but the Person behind the name that the name represents.
That is where so many churches and Christians take the wrong turn, because they attribute power to the words alone, and use those words as a magic formula to get want they want.

John described Yahshua as ‘the Word made flesh’.

Yahshua is the embodiment of the Word of Salvation which YHWH spoke, and as such He is like a seed planted (spoken) in our physical reality.

The word/name 'Yahshua' embodies all that Yahshua stands for, which is unwavering faith in YHWH, Who spoke Salvation in Yahshua and put His energy and essence in Him.
Being the embodiment of YHWH's word, Yahshua fed the spoken word of Salvation through obedience and faith, so that the seed of the Word grew up and became the reality of YHWH's Salvation for mankind.

Yah-Shua, 'YHWH is Salvation', was made manifest in the person Yahshua, and THIS is the power of the name Yahshua which causes the evil forces to tremble with fear. It’s not a simple word, it represents everything Yahshua is and stands for: the salvation of mankind and the destruction of the powers of evil.

The name Jesus or Yahshua always managed to fill me with a deep respect and awe.
There IS power attached to the name of Yahshua, but I immediately want to add that this power is not simply due to the ‘sound of the name’, but it is because of the Power behind the name, everything that Yahshua stands for.

Unfortunately there are many Christians and church leaders who have the idea that by speaking the words ‘in Jesus’ name’ at the end of their prayers this formula alone will make them heard. This is not limited to 'in Jesus' name' alone, but this kind of magical mis-use of words as aural push-buttons which activate the miracle machine, can also be found in other standard formulas used in certain denominations in order to achieve the desired result.

Due to a great lack of understanding and depth, the concept of the name 'Jesus' or 'Yahshua' has been relegated to the ranks of magic by them, some sort of incantation formula which will act like a miracle machine fulfilling every wish as long as the correct incantation formula is used. Like ‘white magic’ (which of course does not exist; there’s only black deception).

This two dimensional understanding of what it means to pray in the name of Yahshua is not correct.
As I have written, Yahshua stands for the embodiment of the Word of Salvation which YHWH spoke, and this Word stands for obedience in faith.
When we pray in the name of Yahshua it can only mean something if we become the extension of Yahshua and walk in faith and obedience to YHWH’s instructions. This is what it means when YHWH states that He will write His name on our foreheads: His character, as it shines in Yahshua, will also shine in us in our faith and obedience to YHWH's instructions.

Remember how the seed of a word/concept grows because we feed it, remember my description of HOW this works?
Likewise the concept of praying ‘in the name of Yahshua’ is energized and grows from being fed by our obedience to YHWH’s instructions and faith in Him. Without that, all which remains are words which will never produce fruit after their kind, because we do not FEED the words by faith and obedience.
The more faithful and obedient in your walk you will prove to be, the more result you will see from praying in Yahshua’s name.

Does that mean that if we are obedient and walk in faith that we will get anything we ask for?

After all, Yahshua said: "If you ask from the Father in my name He will give it to you" (John 16.23-24),
"And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive" (Matthew 21.22) and again,
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them" (Mark 11.24).
In the latter quote you may also read 'believe that you HAVE received them'. In the physical realm you will receive them, but in the spiritual realm they ARE already given to you, awaiting to be manifested in the physical realm through your faith.

So, does this mean that everything we ask for in Yahshua's name, believing, will come to pass?
No, our words need authorization, and sometimes we may want something but our Father YHWH has different plans.
At such times we should not throw up our hands in the air, or put the blame on YHWH or Yahshua. We should continue in faith and deep love in our hearts, trusting that YHWH knows what is best.
Remember the lesson we can learn from Job.

Not all prayers sent up in obedient faith are fulfilled.
Yahshua prayed that the cup of His impending suffering be taken away from Him, adding that not His will but YHWH's will be done.
The cup was not taken away from Him because it would have obstructed YHWH's plan for the salvation of mankind.

The concept of ‘praying in Yahshua's name’ does not imply that everything we ask for will be granted to us if we simply add the 'in Yahshua's (Jesus') name' prayer ending.

To pray in Yahshua's name first and foremost means that we come before YHWH in the same spirit of Yahshua, putting YHWH's will first and aligning ourselves with it.
That should also be our attitude in prayer and faith: put YHWH's will first and aligning ourselves with His will, keeping this always in our heart and mind whenever we ask for something in the name of Yahshua.

When we align our will with His will, then speaking in His name will represent expressing our faith, our alliance with the will of the Person in whose name we speak.
The more we walk in faith and obedience, the more YHWH’s will translates into our will.
And the more faithful and obedient we prove to be, the more YHWH will honour our requests and our words.

It’s important to understand that you don't have to be a helpless playball in the hands of the evil one.
Yahshua has the authority to destroy the power of evil in your life and the life of others, and by aligning our hearts, souls and minds to the will of Yahshua (and thus to YHWH in Yahshua) the power of darkness can be bound and removed from our lives.
The name 'Yahshua' represents the living Word who turns on the Light switch, and there's power and authority in that name, or rather, the Person behind that name.

So learn to speak in faith in the Person behind that name, using it in your daily battles, and remove the evil one's influence from your life.
YOU have been given power over him in the name and authority of Yahshua, not the other way round.
ASSERT yourself then in that precious Name and use it like a sword to destroy evil.
Remember that, because our faith in Yahshua is the most powerful weapon given to us which destroys the power of evil.

Cleanse your hearts and seek the will of YHWH, so that you can bind the powers of darkness in your life and your home/family, and command them to leave in the name of Yahshua, and speak this in faith believing that it is so.

The challenge for us is learning to walk in faith, letting faith prevail over circumstances, letting YHWH's spiritual reality shape the physical reality we see around us.
After all, the spiritual reality is the greater reality, while our physical reality is like a holodeck designed for our benefit.

If you think physical matter that you can see, feel, taste, hear and smell is the ultimate reality, you have fallen for a lie, because there's a far greater reality beyond the physical.
Ironically enough it's this spiritual reality which is usually seen as less real than what we see around us, but the truth is the opposite of that.

If we had an unbroken connection to YHWH we would be able to impose His spiritual reality over any physical reality, as Yahshua said, we would be able to say to a mountain to be thrown in the sea, and sure enough it would come to pass. Unless it would obstruct YHWH’s plan, always bear that in mind. You can pray until you see blue in the face that Jerusalem be relocated from Israel to China with all the faith in the universe, but the chance of that coming to pass is zero, because it goes against YHWH's will.

However, when you pray, and there is so much as the slightest doubt in you that what you ask for will be given to you (“Well, I asked for X, and perhaps, who knows, maybe if it is God’s will my prayer will come to pass, time will tell”), the doubt will act as an obstruction.
Think of what Paul said: “Faith is the evidence of things unseen and the substance of things hoped for”.

But, remember that what I am writing about is NOT the same as magic where a word is said to possess magical power in itself.
The name of Yahshua stands for the character of Yahshua.

When the Bible speaks of YHWH writing His name on our foreheads it means that He imprints His character on our soul and mind.
"And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. And they shall see His face, and His name shall be in their foreheads" (Revelation 22.3-4).
So, praying in the NAME of Yahshua implies praying in the likeness of character and attitude of Yahshua besides believing in and counting on the authority given to Yahshua.

Don't be too involved with your circumstances as if they are the ultimate reality, because they are not. The challenge for us is how we deal with circumstances and how we can influence the circumstances by our faith.
It's important to guard our words lest we may be planting more seeds of doubt and despair for our future.
Be abundant in sowing seeds of faith, hope and blessings, and you surely will reap the future of what you have sown in abundance.

To the extent that you seek, spend time, reserve time for prayer, listen to others that YHWH is directing you to, to that extent you are building a lasting relationship, and as that relationship grows, intimacy also develops, and as intimacy develops, the bonding through faith grows strong, and the more your will lines up with YHWH's will, and the more you are able to move about in faith and pray in faith.

As you live like this, just as Yahshua lived, prayers sent up in the name of Yahshua are filled with power and authority bestowed on you by Yahshua, because you live the way He did, and thus you energize the name of Yahshua to bring forth the promise contained within the seed of that Name.

Thank you for your comment Derek.
I'm glad you enjoyed the message, and I hope others will too, because it is a very important one.

Realizing the truth of what I wrote can turn a person from a victim of evil into a ruler over evil, an overcomer, and we are all called to become conquerers instead of the conquered.
