Right now we are just a couple of weeks away from the first day of the seventh Biblical month.
I have commented in previous entries in my blog about the possibility of the last 7 years of Daniel's '70 sevens' prophecy playing out in 2010/2011.
The reason for this assumption is the fact that Israel was established as a nation in 1948, and counting 70 years from that date we arrive at 2018.
Why should we count from 1948?
Because it's a prophetic milestone fulfilling Isaiah's prophecy (Isaiah 66.8).
Why should we count 70 years?
Because Daniel received his prophecy of the 70 sevens after realizing that 70 years were determined to 'end the desolations of Jerusalem '.
Daniel then proceeded to pray for his people and repent for their rebellion, whereupon the angel Gabriel appeared and told him that 70 sevens of years have been decreed to "finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness".
It does not automatically imply that we must start counting 70 years from Israel's rebirth as a nation .
HOWEVER, the setting of the context of this prophecy DOES carry such an implication.
Our Creator speaks in several ways, and one way is through mathematical patterns and numbers.
If you look at 70 from a numerical perspective, then 7*10 carries the message of the completion and fulfilment (7) together with compliance with and obedience to YHWH's law (10).
The number 10 carries a reference to YHWH's law and thus implies the obedience to YHWH's law as well as the beginning of a new series of numbers (first 0-9, then the same numbers now in a decimal arrangement , 10-19).
Based on this numerical data the counting of 70 years from the prophetic milestone of Israel rebirth makes a lot of sense, especially if you can combine it with another countdown of 50 years.
Synchronous to the 70 years countdown we can count the number of years of a Jubilee from the recapture of Jerusalem .
Since this week of Unleavened Bread was already past when Jerusalem was recaptured, the first available date begins in 1968.
The 50 year countdown from 1968 and the 70 year countdown from 1948 both end in the year 2018.
Furthermore, in a numerical sense 50 + 70 = 120, and 120 = 10*12, meaning, obedience to YHWH's law (10) for all 12 tribes of Israel (5+7).
Since the prophecy of Daniel tells us of a very difficult time for Israel leading up to this end date, the final seven of years, it makes sense that 2010/2011 is the timeframe when the trouble begins.
I know that if you visit end-times blogs and news sites regularly you may get the idea that the world is ending on subscription basis every day or so. But there is reason why this year is different from other years, and the reason I have outlined briefly above.
From a numerical perspective it makes a lot of sense.
But I have to point out that unlike others I see no clear indication in prophecy that the end of the final seven means the return of Yahshua right at the end of this seven.
Yahshua made it clear that AFTER the tribulation (the last 7 years of Daniel's prophecy) there's a period of 'signs in the heavens' before the world will see the 'sign of the Messiah' in the heavens, and there is no indication how long this period will last.
Daniel's 70 sevens prophecy pertains to Israel , and not to the world at large.
The seventh Biblical month has Feasts which pertain to this last period, and the first day of this month begins with Yom Teruah.
Some call it the Feast of Trumpets, but it literally means the 'day of loud noise'.
When Israel was to capture Jericho, YHWH instructed them to make a loud noise on the seventh day, and this may be a shadow picture of the Yom Teruah for the seventh month as it will happen at the very beginning of Daniel's prophesied last seven years: the restoration of Israel and the judgment upon those who stand in the way of that restoration (like Jericho), beginning with a 'loud noise'.
This is why Yom Teruah 2010 is such an important date, because it may very well bring the fulfilment of the prophetic implication of this day: the day of the loud noise.
On the rabbinical calendar this day is on September 8/9, but according to the Biblical calendar this day will be on September 10/11, '9/11' in other words.
If we look at the situation right now in the Middle East it's not hard to be aware that a big war in that region has become very likely.
Iran's quest for nuclear technology almost has run its course with Iran coming out as the big winner, thanks to the big enabler of evil called Russia, and Israel is forced into the position of having to make very drastic decisions about what action they should take.
To do nothing equals facing a nation with nuclear arms seeking to wipe Israel off the map, a nation in support of the evil neighbours of Israel, among whom Hamas and Hezbollah, and this scenario is definitely something Israel cannot afford.
As long as Islamic hardliners are in charge in Iran Israel is forced into the huge dilemma of doing nothing and creating the possibility of a horrific scenario for the future where Hezbollah and Hamas may have nuclear weapons at their disposal, or strike pre-emptively and create the possibility for an all out war in the Middle East.
The first nuclear power plant in Bushehr - Iran will be active on August 21st, so Israel's timeframe to make a decision is narrowed down to as little as one week.
